Server 1
OS: Windows Server 2012 Standard
Role: AD/DNS/DHCP
IP: 12.11.0.119
Hostname: S1.test.co.nz
DHCP scope: 12.11.0.119 - 12.11.0.125(exclude 12.11.0.119 - 12.11.0.121)
 
Server 2
OS: Windows Server 2012 Standard
Role: Child AD/DNS
IP: 12.11.0.120
Hostname: S2.sales.test.co.nz
 
Server 3

OS: Windows Server 2012 Standard
Role: Proxy/IIS/FTP
IP: 12.11.0.121
Hostname: S3.test.co.nz
 
Client 1
OS: Windows 7
Role: Workstation
IP: DHCP assign
Hostname: C1.test.co.nz
 
Process
1. Setup the server1
a. Install windows server 2012 standard;
b. setup IP address 12.11.0.119/24
c. change the hostname to S1
d. disable the firewall
e. add AD/DNS role
f. configure the AD/DNS role(domain name: test.co.nz)
g. add DHCP role
h. configure the DHCP role
DHCP scope: 12.11.0.119 - 12.11.0.125(exclude 12.11.0.119 - 12.11.0.121)
 
2. Setup the server 2(If the OS of server2 is clone of server1, need to change SID)
a. Install windows server 2012 standard;
b. setup IP address 12.11.0.120/24
c. change the hostname to S2
d. disable the firewall
e add the S2 into domain test.co.nz
f. add AD/DNS role
g. configure AD/DNS role with test.co.nz/administrator account (domain name: sales.test.co.nz)
 
3. Setup the server 3(If the OS of server3 is clone of server1, need to change SID)
a. Install windows server 2012 standard;
b. add two network adapter for this server(one connect to intranet; another one connect to internet);
c. setup IP address 12.11.0.121/24
d. change the hostname to S3
e. disable the firewall
f. add the S3 into domain test.co.nz
g. add IIS role (include ftp service)
h. configure IIS, FTP
i. set the proxy in the IE option. (When the server need to become the proxy server, please check the document "setup proxy server")
 
4. Setup the home driver (using DFS)
a. setup the namespace
b. create folder
c. change the configuration in AD account setting
 
6. Setup the remote access from C1 to S1
a. enable remote desktop service in S1
