Nagios Check_mk Ignore ICMP Block
Scenario 1
Due to the firewall migration, we can not do change on it.
Since the 6556 port is available. Nagios can visit the status of services
But the host is show down, since nagios use ping to define whether the host is on or off.
Solution
I have perhaps the solution of your problem.
You go to the availability interface.
After you double click on your host "RED".
Then you have your Host red with your service green on your interface.
Before you must "disable active check on your host"
After, on the right, you have "Submit passive check result for your host".
you click on this.
After you put on "check output" : ICMP BLOCKED , for example.
you click on "Commit"..
After your host is green
You go to the availability interface.
After you double click on your host "RED".
Then you have your Host red with your service green on your interface.
