Preparation
1. Version
Standard: All in one server(Internal five servers); SQL Server Express
Enterprise:  Separate feature in different servers; SQL Server Standard / Enterprise

2. Hardware requirement
64bit / 8 Core / 16GB Memory / 500GB storage

3. Operation System requirement
Windows Server 2008 / Windows Server 2008 R2 

4. Domain requirement
Domain Function: Windows Server 2003 

5. Database requirement
SQL Server 2005 with SP3 
SQL Server 2008 with SP1
SQL Server 2008 R2

6. Application requirement
Microsoft .NET framework 3.5.1
PoweShell 2.0

桌面体验
活动目录域管理工具
IIS 
Silverlight(enhance the performance)

7. Client requirement
Windows XP Profession SP3 / Windows 7 / Windows 8 / Windows Vista

Implementation
Environment
1. DC/CA: 192.168.1.2
2. Lync FE: 192.168.1.4
3. Lync BE: 192.168.1.3
4. Client1: 192.168.1.150
5. Client2: 192.168.1.151

Installation
192.168.1.2
1. Install DC and CA(enterprise) 
2. Config CA 
A. 证书颁发机构/右击<机构>/扩展/http: 选中下面三个选项
B. 右击“吊销的证书”/所有任务/发布
3. Create account for sqlserver: SQLServices （用户不能更改密码/密码永不过期）
4. Add account into "Domain Admin" group
5. Create domain ou and user account in AD

192.168.1.3
1. Add server into domain
2. Install ".Net framwork"
3. Install "SQL Server 2008 R2 Enterprise" / Single Node
4. Choose item: 数据库引擎服务/管理工具 - 基本/管理工具 - 完整
5. 服务帐号：choose “SQLServices” account
6. 排序规则：注意规则
7. 数据目录：选择合适的用户数据库目录
8. Open port 1433 on firewall: Advanced setting of firewall

192.168.1.4
1. Add server into domain
2. Install applications with the snapshot above
3. Install lync Server 2010
4. Click "准备" 
5. Click "准备架构"/ “准备林” / “准备域”
6. “准备架构"
A. Go to AD server 192.168.1.2 run command to check AD status: netdom query fsmo
B. Click "运行"
C. Check running log
In ADSIedit, under the Schema Container, look for the ms-RTC-SIP-SchemaVersion.  Opening the properties, look for the "RangeUpper" attribute.  Check the list before for the correct value for your environment:
LCS 2005 - 1006
OCS 2007 R1 - 1007
OCS 2007 R2 - 1008
Lync Server 2010 - 1100
Lync Server 2013 - 1150

7. "准备林"
A. Click "运行"
B. Go to AD server 192.168.1.2 to check group 
8. "准备域"
A. Click “运行”
B. Go to AD server 192.168.1.2 to check advance and properties

Install Enterprise Edition
9. 安装拓扑生成器
A. Go to AD Server 192.168.1.2 Add Domain Admin to CSAdministrator group
B. Go to AD Server 192.168.1.2 Add A records in DNS
i. pool / 192.168.1.4
ii. dialin / 192.168.1.4
iii. meet / 192.168.1.4
iv. admin / 192.168.1.4
C. Go to 192.168.1.4 "安装拓扑生成器"
D. Go to "拓扑生成器" 
i. input domain name 
ii. input pool.<domain name> 
iii. Database server point to 192.168.1.3 
iv. define share folder (sharefolder can not be created in front end)
E. Right click “Lync Server 2010” and click "发布"

10. 安装或更新Lync Server系统
A. 安装本地配置存储
B. 安装或删除 Lync Server 组件
C. 请求，安装或分配证书
D. 启动服务
E. 服务状态

Lync Configuration
1. Install Silverlight
2. Go to Start \ Lync Server 2010 \ Lync Server Control Panel
3. Go to user
4. Add Lync to domain user

Lync 2010 Implementation
​1. Client mass installation
Method 1: SCCM: too expensive
Method 2: Group Policy: (only support MSI format installation file)
A. Create GPO
B. Connect GPO to Domain OU
C. Convert MSI to EXE
D. Create share foler in AD server 192.168.1.2 and move the MSI installation file to it
E. Go to GPO \ Computer configuration \ Policy \ Software Configuration
F. Right click "Software Installation" and input the network address of the MSI 
G. Right click application and on "部署" page choose "已分配"
H. Add the client computer into OU
I. Input command to apply the GPO: gpupdate /force
J. Login client computer with domain account 

2. Client certification installation
A. Check network connection to AD, and Lync FE
B. CA should be Enterprise or purchase from Internet
C. Client should be added into Domain
D. If client is workgroup, you need to download the certificate and install to local computer

3. Client automatic login
Method 1: DNS SRV record
A. Go to DNS management
B. Go to "正向查询区域" , right click <domain name> and add "其他记录"
C. Choose "SRV" 
D. 服务：_sipinternaltls
E. 协议：_tcp
F. 端口号：5061
G. 提供此服务的主机：pool.<domain name>

Method 2: GPO Management
A. Download ADM file for Lync from internet
B. Go to GPO to add one GPO and go to User configuration 
C. Right click Mangement template and Add ADM file as template
D. Use the policy "Specify transport and server" to config the server name and the transport protocol. 

4. Check Lync history record
The Lync history record saved in Outlook
A. Lync need to connect to Exchange 
B.  Outlook exist "对话历史记录" to check the Lync history record

5. Lync set image of user
Method 1: install ADExt tool 
Method 2: use Exhange powershell command 

6. Lync contact list
Automatic sync normal 12 hours
Local storage directory: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Communicator\<Lync profile>\Galcontacts
Manually sync: 
A. Exit Lync
B. Delete the Lync profile
C. In the Lync Server change registry key value

7. Lync sent attachment no exe file
A. Lync Server management
B. Go to "IM和状态" \ "文件筛选器" 
C. edit Global, add exe file type in the list
